I have never thought I would do an internship this summer as COVID-19 led to a widespread pandemic causing economic downfall and immense uncertainty among businesses or organizations to hire individuals or to conduct internship programs for undergrads. Thanks to our placements committee at Bennett University, I’ve got an opportunity to do my internship online at Quadwave Consulting Private Ltd.

Quadwave is a global programming solutions organization with its essence in the US, UK, and India, concentrated on giving software solutions for undertakings and online organizations. They provide consultancy, architecture, design, and development services for complex business process management and web applications. AmperAXP is a US-based company headquartered in California, also a subsidiary of Quadwave.

Amper is an application acceleration platform that allows you to create, build, and deploy complex applications with minimal coding. You can easily create Blockchain, AI/ML, Big Data, Streaming Data, IoT, Business Process, Web, and Mobile applications using a visual drag-and-drop environment in an extremely user-friendly interface. This allows you to rapidly create and deploy applications and drastically cuts down your development time and cost.

I was selected as a Web Development Intern at Quadwave using the Amper platform. While we had various assignments and training for 7 weeks to adapt ourselves to the platform, the ending week was complemented by a project to mark an end to the internship.

The training programs were conducted by various mentors working in the organization as lead quality engineers teaching us to make web forms, connecting process flows, and various other data manipulation techniques such as CRUD.

During the entire course I had done many process flows for various tasks:

Budget Request Application

CRUD operations

Newsletter Subscription

and other data retrieval tasks.

Process flows are nothing but the entire application is connected through various features/nodes. An example of a process flow which lets a user edit or delete records in the database with email notifications is shown below as follows:

As the training was taking place online every alternate working date we were provided with assignments to adapt to the platform. I had no problem connecting to the mentors at Skype whenever I had experienced hardship while doing these assignments. One such application was Budget Request Application the process flow is as follows:

It is an application which allows visitors or users to request a budget which is then accepted/rejected by admin authorities.

Requester Form

The admin has the task to accept or reject the application, after which the database is updated accordingly and the applicant is notified of the decision.

After Completing the training process I was asked to do Court booking Application along with my teammate as a final project before making an end to the internship. It is an application where students can request for a ground to be booked and concerned in charge would accept or reject it accordingly.

The layout was :

•If the logged in user is Student, booking placed by that particular student should be displayed in the grid. He should have options to cancel and request booking.

• If the logged in user is Ground In charge, he should see all the booking requested by the students.

After 2 months, I have successfully completed my internship at Quadwave using the Amper platform. Before the Amper platform, I only used traditional ways to create and host web pages but the importance of Amper was evident to me because of the ease of use and minimal coding which is quite useful to deploy applications in a short time.

While the internship provided me an insight into how industry deadlines are met and projects are made, it also drove me towards personal and professional growth.

I thank AmperAXP, Quadwave for providing me this internship/training during a pandemic situation.

Thanks to Dr. Deepak Garg and and Placement Cell, Bennett University for making it possible during the lock down situation in India.
